Avalanche buries five trucks

The News - CHITRAL: An avalanche buried five Chitral-bound loaded trucks near the Lowari Tunnel, police said here on Wednesday. However, no casualty was reported in the incident. Police said that the drivers had abandoned the vehicles

in Bradam area due to heavy snowfall. The drivers, including Amir Afzal and Nejat Khan, told the Drosh police about the incident and the Jawans of Chitral Scouts and police retrieved two of the vehicles, a police official said. He added that efforts were on to retrieve the other three vehicles. Meanwhile, the residents of the city started travelling via Afghanistan after the closure of Lowari Tunnel Road due to snowfall.
