Joint sitting of Parliament postponed —PML-N & ANP fail to reach consensus over renaming of NWFP

ISLAMABAD: The Joint sitting of Parliament, which was slated to be held today (Friday), has been postponed due to differences between the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) and the Awami National Party (ANP) over the new name of the NWFP. On the other hand, the representatives of different political parties, who were also scheduled to sign the draft of the constitutional reforms bill

on Thursday at a meting of the Parliamentary Committee on Constitutional Reforms was also postponed and it is expected that they would sign the bill today (Friday) at a simple ceremony, sources informed Online. The committee members also expressed their annoyance over the PML-N after it failed to sort out the issue with regard to the renaming of NWFP.
