ECP receives application for registration of APML-Musharraf Group

ISLAMABAD (Online): The Election Commission of Pakistan on Tuesday received an application for registration of Political Party All Pakistan Muslim League (Musharraf Group) formed by Former President Gen. (Retd) Pervez Musharraf

A resident of Rawalpindi Muhammad Ashfaq Chaudhry filed application before the Chief Election Commission of Pakistan, requesting him to register All Pakistan Muslim League (Musharraf Group).

Muhammad Ashfaq Chaudhry in the application took the plea that his Party named All Pakistan Muslim League is already functioning in the national politics and we want to participate in the next elections in the name of All Pakistan Muslim League (Musharraf Group) therefore orders be issued for registration of Party. Chairman Peoples Movement Muhammad Ashfaq Chaudhry when contacted confirmed that he had submitted application for registration of Party in the name of All Pakistan Muslim League (Musharraf Group). Answering to a question, he said, some people including Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif wanted to hijack this Party to get it register it in his name, however, the Party is being registered in the name of All Pakistan Muslim League (Musharraf). The Party, he said, would be made functional totally under chairmanship of Former President Gen. (Retd) Pervez Musharraf.
