Chitral-born Muhammad Rasool will represent Karachi Energy in the lucrative League.

KARACHI:( The News) Pakistan’s experienced playmaker Muhammad Essa will represent Sindh’s outfit ‘Karachi Energy’ in place of Quetta Zorawar in the Super Football League while License A coach Nasir Ismail has not been given any coaching job in the event which will be held here at the Peoples Football Stadium from June 12 to July 31.Director Operations of the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) Pervez Saeed Mir confirmed to ‘The News’ on Monday that both Chaman-born Muhammad Essa and Chitral-born Muhammad Rasool will represent Karachi Energy in the lucrative League.

Essa and Rasool’s induction into the Karachi Energy team came under rules in which the sponsor of a team has been given authority to pick four players in its outfit irrespective of their origin of birth. Because KESC have sponsored Karachi Energy for the five-team competitions, they have opted to bring the duo to Sindh team.

Essa, who has recently returned from Iran after attending the AFC License C coaching course, is expected to join the camp on June 5.

Mir said all the away teams will assemble in Karachi on Tuesday (today) where they will start their preparatory campaign for the competition. Mir said that matches are scheduled to be held under lights with only one match a week to be played in the day.

However, the participation of prime goalie Jaffar Khan in the event is not yet confirmed.

Meanwhile, the bad patch of the License A coach Nasir Ismail has continued as he has again been ignored for the coaching job. Nasir was sent two weeks back to Peshawar to supervise trials for the Tribe FC. He picked 25-man squad for the Tribe FC but surprisingly the PFF issued orders to take trials once again after nullifying the selection of Nasir Ismail and his fellow coach Gohar Zaman on the ground that Nasir had not sent a comprehensive report about selection of the players to the PFF. Faisalabad’s Bashir Ahmed then picked Peshawar’s Tribe FC.
