CHITRAL (Online) : Mysterious fire in Chitral College of Education has destroyed all records, books, furniture and college building.
According to authorities, college building caught fire on Tuesday night at 3 a.m. and immediately after the incident, Tehsil Municipal Authority (TMA), border police, fire brigade and local scouts rushed to the place of incident. After their three hours’ combined efforts, situation was brought under control.
It has been noted that 16 rooms alongwith all stuff including furniture, library, books, college record, science laboratory and other expensive belongings had been completely destroyed, which roughly amount Rs. 100 million. Police has registered the FIR and started investigations.
In the meantime, principal of college Sardar Ahmed Khan has requested the government and affluent members of community to assist in reconstruction of college. He also advised students to maintain their contacts with college administration for matters pertaining to their records and education certificates.
Chitral College of Education was a well-renowned institution among others regarding its quality education.
