LONDON: A 29-year-old man, who became a father at the age of 14, is set to create a record by becoming Britain's youngest grandfather, after his 14-year-old daughter has become pregnant.
"It's history repeating itself . I like the idea of being the youngest grandad in Britain, but at the same time I'm fuming that she (daughter) is pregnant. I know myself how tough it is being a teenage parent and now she has to go through the same thing. However, we're all going to stand by her and we will welcome the little one into the family. She is very young, but she was determined to keep the child.
"We're not going to force her into doing anything else. We don't want her to hate us," the'Daily Mail quoted the man as saying without revealing his identity to protect his young daughter.
The man's daughter became pregnant by her 15-yearold boyfriend and is expected to give birth in August. The couple study at the same comprehensive school. PTI
