Munir Hussyn Ibn Hamza - Ban female students' visit to Kalash valley

Ban female students' visit to Kalash valleys

I would like to draw your kind consideration towards a serious issue
that each year most of our female as well as boy colleges arrange
trips to the Kalash valleys in the name of picnic.

We know that students are stressed out with monotonous work or vexed
and it is very significant to arrange such excursions that their bored
minds may get refreshed.

This year, one of the government colleges for women went on a tour to
Bomburat with a large number of students. The students drank, danced
and their actions were captured in the eyes of cell phones and video
clips came to the local market and spread like a fire which is
outrageous. Many more will be coming in the future if it is not
prevented. It is an extremely serious matter and we should not take it
lightly.
I am not opposing arranging picnics but going to distant areas like
Bomburat is not proper particularly for girls. Besides, by such outing
we all become acquainted with wine that is easily accessible there. It
is intolerable to let our daughters and sisters to visit such places
for picnic. I request college administrations not to take such kind of
jeopardy in future. This is the bitter reality which we can't put out
of sight or close our eyes to.

Finally, I request the authorities to take the matter seriously.
Chitral is a valley of tranquility, hospitality, honor and
bigheartedness but there should not be any sort of compromise
regarding our honor and dignity.

No picnic is important than our honor and someone rightly said that
death is better than dishonor. I think our history and culture do not
permit that our females take part in dancing. We have a unique culture
and should preserve it.
