Peshawar—The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Population Welfare, Saleem
Khan has disclosed that Prime Minister of Pakistan Syed Yousaf Raza
Gilani has approved an amount of two billion rupees for the under
construction Lowari Tunnel Project and work on it is expected to be
restarted very soon. In a statement issued here on Saturday, the
provincial minister said that he had personally requested the Prime
Minister to provide adequate funds for the said project during his last
visit to Peshawar which he had principally agreed to.
Saleem Khan has expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for providing funds for the project and said that now the fears and concern of the people of Chitral regarding the project will be dispelled. via Pakistan Observer
