14 die, 80 hurt in Parachinar blast

Via Frontier Post: PARACHINAR: At least 14 persons were killed and more than 80, including two women and as many security men, received serious injuries when a suicide blast ripped in Kashmir Chowk, Parachinar, on Monday.
Eyewitness said that unidentified militants crashed his white car full of explosives with other vehicles in the main Kashmir Chowk in afternoon, killing two persons on the spot while a number of others were critically injured. The injured were rushed to Imam Bargah and Agency Headquarters Hospital in which 12 persons succumbed to their injuries. Six vehicles and 20 shops were completely destroyed in the suicide attack. Ten persons who were killed in the bomb blast were identified as Shahid Hussain son of Sardar Ali, Salman Ali son of Muhammad Askar, Hidayat Hussain and his young son Muhammad, Muntazir Hussain son of Sadiq Hussain, Syed Gul Agha son of Syed Kamil Shah, Sharif Hussain son of Nabi Hussain, Syed Ishaat Hussain son of Syed Fazal Hussain, Maulana Haji Akbar Hussain and Arshad Hussain. Fourteen of the injured who were in critical condition were shifted to Peshawar hospitals,
Parachinar Bazaar was completely closed immediately after the incident.
Meanwhile, elders of Tori Bangash tribe condemned the suicide attack and announced to observe three-day mourning. Wapda restored water supply in Parachinar City soon after electric poles damaged in the blast.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Barrister Masood Kausar and Chief Minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti have strongly condemned the bomb blast and expressed their deep shock and sorrow over the loss of precious lives.
The governor directed the concerned authorities to arrange helicopter for shifting of the injured to Peshawar to ensure best available treatment facilities for making their early recovery possible.
