PESHAWAR: Ideological workers of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) in Chitral district have decided to draw their future line of action if the leadership awarded party ticket to any ‘opportunist’.
“According to our information, the leadership has decided to award ticket to an opportunist. It has created unrest and disappointment among the workers throughout the district,” PPP senior vice-president and former nazim union council Drosh in Chitral, Haidar Abbas told ‘The News’ on Saturday.
The former PPP nazims Sultan Shah, Sartaj Ahmad Khan, Aminullah, Wazir, Kashafat Younis, Abdul Bari and others said the PPP leadership would be responsible for the consequences if it ignored the workers and awarded tickets to opportunists.
The ideological workers held Provincial Minister Salim Khan responsible for the deteriorating situation in Chitral. They said Salim Khan, who is also the PPP district president, could not unite the party and remove sense of deprivation among the workers.
