The Khyber Pukhtunkhwa Minister for Population Welfare, Saleem Khan
paid a surprise visit DHQ Hospital Chitral, the other day. He inspected
different wards and sections of the hospital and reviewed the situation
of cleanliness and medical facilities being provided to the patients.
He met the patients in the wards, enquired about their health and got
information about the medical facilities provided to them. MS of the
hospital Dr. Noor ul Islam and other concerned authorities were also
present on the occasion.
The provincial minister expressed his satisfaction over the
cleanliness of the hospital and medical facilities available therein. He
directed the concerned quarters to improve the heating system to
protect the admitted patients from cold.
The MS apprised the minister of the shortage of staff especially the
specialist doctors and other problems being faced by the hospital.
The minister assured those vacancies of specialist doctors and other
Para- medics staff in the hospital would soon be filled as necessary
measure to this effect had been taken at higher level.
Briefing the provincial minister about the performance of the
hospital during the year 2012, the MS told that the hospital had
provided best treatment to more than 14,000 patients in OPD, 10,000
admitted patients in various wards and 13,000 patients in casualty. APP
