The sources told Business Recorder that a local court handed over the former district nazim to Koghuzi police on a three-day physical.
He was arrested from the premises of the sessions courts, after District and Sessions Judge Chitral Syed Zumrad Shah canalled his BBA. The Koreans are constructing Golen Gol power station near Koghozi village. Later, law enforcement agencies arrested a man from Ayun on the charges of stealing the explosives.
During interrogation, the accused told police that he had sold some of the explosives to a son of Mohammad Khan, a contractor and the former district Nazim, who is affiliated with Jamaat-e-Islami. On the information provided by the accused, some of the explosives were recovered from the son of the contractor and the ex-district nazim's under construction powerhouse near Chitral town.
The son of Mohammad Khan contractor was arrested and put behind the bars at that time and was later released on bail. However, the JI leader, who was also booked in the case under section 5 of the Explosive Act, obtained bail before arrest from the sessions court which was vacated on Monday.
