KABUL – National Directorate of Security (NDS) personnel March 26 arrested a key commander of the Pakistani Taliban in Kamdish District, Nuristan Province, Afghanistan Times reported.
Taliban commander Muftauddin (aka Mansoor), a resident of Chitral District, Pakistan, was sent to target the April 5 Afghan polls, an NDS statement said.
Meanwhile, Afghan security forces March 27 arrested a teenage suspected would-be suicide bomber in eastern Mehtarlam City, Laghman Province.
The 16-year-old was planning to target presidential and provincial council campaigns in Mehtarlam, according to the NDS statement. Source CAO
