ISLAMABAD, April 15 (APP): Minister of Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan Chaudhry Muhammad Barjees Tahir Tuesday informed the Senate that the Lowari Tunnel Project would be completed till October 19, 2017. He said the project commenced on September 19, 2005 and had to be completed on September 18, 2008 but due to revision of design after introduction of Revised Building Code (Seismic Provision) after 2005 Earthquake, suspension of project work at site for one year owing to military operation in Malakand Division in 2009, the government directed to convert rail into road tunnel.ISLAMABAD, April 15 (APP): Minister of Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan Chaudhry Muhammad Barjees Tahir Tuesday informed the Senate that the Lowari Tunnel Project would be completed till October 19, 2017.
