Major Martyred, 13 Terrorists Eliminated in KP Operations by Security Forces

Security Forces Conduct Successful Counter-Terrorism Operations in North Waziristan, Bannu, and South Waziristan

In a series of counter-terrorism operations over two days, security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa neutralized 13 terrorists, but the nation mourns the loss of Major Muhammad Awais, 31, who was martyred during an exchange of fire. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed the details in a statement.



Major Awais, a resident of Narowal district, lost his life in an operation in North Waziristan, where five militants were killed, and eight others were injured. In a separate intelligence-based operation in Bannu's Jani Khel area, two terrorists were taken down by security forces. Additionally, a third operation in South Waziristan resulted in the elimination of six militants and injuries to eight others.

The ISPR highlighted that ongoing sanitization efforts aim to clear the region of remaining terrorist threats, reaffirming the military's resolve to eradicate terrorism. It paid tribute to the sacrifices of soldiers like Major Awais, whose bravery strengthens Pakistan's commitment to ensuring regional safety and stability. These operations underscore the relentless efforts of the armed forces to dismantle terrorist networks and restore peace.
