AKUH doctors avert blast injured's amputation - The Nation

KARACHI - People injured in the Ashura procession blast have linked the incident to the ongoing wave of terrorism in the country, saying that the terrorists are serving the vested interest of the US and Israel and their agents. They said that the so-called Jihadis are defaming Islam by carrying out such inhuman acts. The injured admitted to Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH) and Liaquat National Hospital (LNH) expressed these views while talking to The Nation here on Monday. Around 19 injured people out of the total 119 are being treated at AKUH and LNH, while 11 inured are in AKUH and eight are in LNH. The condition of the injured is stated to be out of danger, according to the spokesperson of Jaffariya Alliance.

It is to be noted that as many as 54 injured people of the bomb blast had been admitted to AKUH. On other hand, the spokesman for the Sindh Health Department said that around 65 Azadar, injured in the blast, had been admitted to different hospitals of the metropolis. As many as 18 admitted to AKUH, eight LNH, two to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre and one to Civil Hospital Karachi, he said.

Some injured, admitted to AKUH, said that they were recovering fast, while the hospital staff was very kind to them. They said, “There is no difference between the US and Taliban - they are two sides of a coin.” So-called Jihadis are trying to hit Islamic values, norms and customs to get their vested interests; the militants cannot stop religious gatherings in the country. Bomb blast cannot horrify us. The aftermath of the blast is great conspiracy against the innocent Karachiites.”
