Chitral police to get special risk allowance: MNA چترال پولیس کو ردک الاونس دیا جائے گا

The News - PESHAWAR: MNA from Chitral Shahzada Mohiuddin Friday said the provincial government would pay special risk allowance to the Chitral police.
“Awami National Party President Asfandyar Wali Khan assured me on floor of the assembly that Chitral police will also get special risk allowance like other districts in Malakand division,” Shahzada Mohiuddin told a group of journalists here.

The MNA said that he had raised the issue in the assembly and pointed out that his constituency had been denied the benefit given to the other five districts of the Malakand division. He added that the Chitral police had been on high alert since long owing to the unrest in neighbouring Afghanistan and trouble-hit districts in Malakand division.

The lawmaker asked Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani and the ANP chief to issue orders for payment of special allowance to the Chital police as well. The MNA said the ANP chief supported his demand and assured him that he would ask the chief minister to extend special risk allowance to Chitral police without any delay. He said there would be no discrimination against any area in providing facilities to law enforcement agencies, which are fighting the menace of militancy and terrorism.

Under the double salary package announced for the NWFP, salaries of the police officials from constable to SP ranks have been increased substantially. If implemented in Chitral, the constables would get Rs3,000 extra, head constable Rs3,500, Sub-Inspector Rs4,000 and Inspector Rs4,500.
