NWFP Minister for Population Welfare, Saleem Khan has disclosed that construction of a Hydel power station with eight Megawatt capacity is in pipeline at Shoghor Chitral, and a feasibility report to this effect has been completed adding that the proposed power station will be completed within the next two years which would solve the issue of power crisis in Chitral on permanent basis.
This, he stated, while talking to a delegation of the steering committee of political parties of Chitral who called on him at his office, the other day and apprised him of various problems faced by the people in different regions of Chitral. The delegation led by Mohammad Essa Khan Advocate of PML-Q comprised of Maulana Abdul Shakoor of JUI (F), Hameedullah Advocate of PPP(S) and Sharif Hussain of PPPP.
The delegation lauded the efforts of the Saleem Khan for strongly voicing the problems of Chitral at provincial and national levels; and assured him all possible support of the said committee.
