Via Daily Dawn - CHITRAL: Fourteen students suffered minor injuries when a school bus plunged into a deep ravine here on Monday morning. Sources at GD Langlands School and College said that the bus was carrying 48 students when it developed a technical fault while negotiating a steep curve near the school and started moving backwards.
Most of the students jumped out of the bus before it skidded off the road, while only 14 remained stuck inside, who suffered minor injuries when the vehicle plunged into a 100-feet deep gorge.
The injured students were removed to the DHQ hospital where 10 of them were discharged after providing first aid while the rest were declared to be in stable condition.
People thronged the hospital when the news of the accident broke out which was said to be first of its kind in the city.
