Wednesday, December 26, 2012 - Chitral—A large number of stakeholders comprising representatives of different civil societies, human rights activists, police officials, social workers, media persons, lawyers, and teachers participated the workshop ‘Strategy plan for peaceful Chitral’. The workshop was conducted by Young Star Development Organization (YSDO). Afsar Jan a known social worker shared different issues regarding human rights faced by Chitral people especially women folk.
Coordinator of YSDO while briefing the participants about aim and objectives of YSDO said that we work on different sector like natural resources, health and hygiene, Advocacy and capacity building. YSDO also arranged so many free medical camps where hundred of poor patients were examined and they were given free medicine as well as blood donation to needy and deserving patients. We also burying unclaimed dead bodies he added. He said that we also issue advance loans to deserving people for business. Similarly 25 women organizations, 40 village organizations, 30 sports club are registered with YSDO. And we support them by different ways.
He said that the present workshop is also a series of our activities to scrutinize and frame astrategy for peaceful Chitral to maintain its present position forever. And that is why we invited different stockholders to share their experiences and views for supporting of this plan.
