CHITRAL (INP): At least six persons were killed and six others including women and children injured as a passenger jeep plunged into gorge here on Monday.
According to details, a passenger jeep with 15 persons on board coming from Upper Chitral to main city, skid off the road while negotiating a sharp turn in Barnas Nullah area and fell into deep ravine.
Some of the passengers managed to save themselves by jumping out of the vehicle but six of them were killed in the accident while six others including children and women sustained wounds.
The local people on self help basis shifted the bodies and injured to District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital Chitral.
