Man drowns in Chitral river

Tuesday, April 16, 2013 - Chitral—A man fell in Chitral in river while crossing a suspension bridge at Chumrukun. According to police a man Abdul Hameed, resident of Orghuch was on his way from Chitral to Orghuch on his motorbike. When he was crossing a suspension bridge at Chumurkun village situated in a descent and very deep he fell down in river and as a result died on the spot. His dead body was recovered from the river by local volunteers. An eye witness told this scribe that he had some injuries on his face and forehead. SHO police station Chitral said thatpolice had started investigation under section 174 and will file a report on completion of their investigation.
