(Times of Chitral Monitoring Thursday, May 20, 2010) DIR, Chitral: At least 12 people have been killed and 8 others injured when their van slipped and fell-down into a river. The van was carrying 20 passengers from Peshawar
The accident happened near Lowari Tunnel Upper Dir district area Balanzai. The reason of accident told due to over-speed. The death toll could rise as some of the injured are reportedly in critical conditions. Two children and two women are also among the killed people.
The relief activities were started right away after the mishap. The bodies and the injured were shifted to a local hospital in Upper Dir and Timargra District.
