Education status to be upgarded in GB: Abudeen

HUNZA, July 25 (APP): Director Planning, Education Department Gilgit Baltistan Muhammad Abudeen on Monday said that our department is continuously working to upgrade education sector in Gilgit Baltistan. He said while talking to APP that we had established vocational and training center in each district of Gilgit Baltistan. He said that currently our department is running different education projects in all the districts of Gilgit Baltistan through which the people of these areas are getting benefits.

He said that the establishment of vocational training centers is very good news for the people of these areas and currently we are offering 6 different types of courses in the training centers.

The courses include Electric wiring, house keeping, food processing, wood work and Gemstone cutting and polishing. 

He further said that the classes on the above mentioned courses will be started from 1st march 2011 and each participant will be given a stipend of Rs. 2000 per month. 

He said that besides this, we are also planning to start long courses on vocational training so that the youngsters of Gilgit Baltistan will be able to earn their own.
