CHITRAL: At least sixteen children died of pneumonia in Khot village of upper Chitral during last one month and more are reportedly affected by the deadly disease.

District health officer Chitral Dr. Israrullah told Online correspondent that basic heath unit (BHU) was established in the area.

He said keeping in view the sensitivity of the situation; local administration is providing medical cover to the affected children.

He said that the ages of the children died of the disease ranged from one month to one year. He said that this year the valley has received three feet of snow and still in the grip of acute coldness. Online
