CHITRAL: Member National Assembly Shahzada Iftikharuddin on Thursday said that 30 megawatt electricity would be provided to the district from the Golen Gol Hydropower Project.“I have talked to the minister and officials concerned. They have agreed to provide 30 megawatt electricity to the district as it is its due right,” the MNA told reporters here.

Iftikharuddin said the government had released Rs1 billion for the Lowari Tunnel, adding that Rs2 billion more would be released for the project soon. The parliamentarian said the revised estimate for the Booni-Mastuj Road and Booni-Torkhow Road had been prepared. “Rs800 million would be released for the two projects soon,” he maintained.
