Khowar Literature Loses Its Shining Star: Iqbaluddin Sahar Remembered
Chitral's renowned figure, poet, writer, and singer Iqbaluddin Sahar passed away this morning in Peshawar. Known for his unique, free-spirited temperament, Sahar was more than a poet—he was a symbol of love, sincerity, liveliness, and knowledge.
He was considered a complete institution in himself, spreading joy, laughter, and smiles wherever he went. His words, his style, and his warmth of affection will always be remembered. With his passing, Chitral, Gilgit, and the world of Khowar literature have lost a towering personality whose absence can never truly be filled.
The funeral prayer will be held tomorrow, Thursday, January 8, at 11:00 AM in his ancestral village, Shoghore, Chitral.
